Shimmer Fairy inside a Log

Shimmer

Annabell stayed home today, but Shimmer, Annabell's friend was playing by herself around a big hill made out of sand.  As she was playing, digging a little hole in the hill, a red Fireant came out of the hole and started to attack Shimmer. Within minutes thousands of Fireants came running over to see what it was all about.  They all started to attack poor Shimmer.  She screamed and cried, but no one heard little Shimmer. Their was no one around.  See, the Fireants thought that Shimmer wanted to destroy the Fireantses home.  That's why they attacked Shimmer.  The Ants were tucking and pulling and biting. 

               Stop!, she screamed, but they didn't listen.  Shimmer finally freed herself and flew towards a long log.  It was hallow inside.  She crawled inside the log to hide.  She was almost in the middle of the log.  It was all dark and spooky inside.  Shimmer was real quite.  She heard little noices moving around inside. It could be anything, she thought.  She sat and waited, oh good, those nasty Fireants didn't find her.  She got away.  While she sat down she felt something moving underneath her.  It moved slowly toward the other end of the log.  She seen the daylight and was glad she was ok.  Shimmer looked down to see what was moving her.  And seen a Woodworm, that she sat on and crawled to the end. 

The Fairy and the Big Dragonfly

Annabell and her friend Shimmer met a Dragonfly named Wings, on the way to a new adventure, while they were playing outside.  Wings asked Shimmer and Annabell if they wanted to take a ride with me, yes they said.  Hitching a ride on the Dragonfly will be lots of fun.  Wingses  wings are so much bigger and stronger then ours. He can fly further  then us.  Hop on said Wings.  I will take you to a real big lake.                                                                                                                                                                                       When they got to the real big lake,  Annabell and Shimmer seen lots of Birds, Bullfrogs and Snakes.  Shimmer and Annabell flew over towards a big Bullfrog his name is Ribbets.  Annabell jumped right on his back and it  gave a big leap onto the Water Rose, that was floating around.  Shimmer  was still at the edge of the water, waiting for the Bullfrog to come back, when a long Snake Curly slithered up to Shimmer.  She climbed on Curly and it swam over to the Water Rose, to drop Shimmer off.  When Ribbets  saw the Snake approach,  Ribbets gave a big leap and gone  it was.  The water was a bit rough and the Water Rose floated with both Fairies around. That was fun.  Annabell and Shimmer seen some pretty red flowers as they came closer to the edge of the sand.  Their they found a strange little Bird it had a real long beak.  I am a Hummingbird it said.  I can fly real fast.  Iam here to eat the nectar from the red flowers. It checked every flower and when it was done, it flew away real fast.  It was getting late and the Fairies decided it was time to go home.  Wings was still their so they hopped on and flew back home.  Thank you Wings we had a great time today.
